Greater Louisville

Through community involvement, NFBGL remains committed toward helping others and engaging in collective action to promote the independence of the blind. Our chapter has contributed Christmas gifts and school supplies to children and families from the Kentucky School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Preschool Services as well as local organizations such as the Sycamore Heights Health and Rehabilitation facility, Family Scholar House and Kentucky Humane Society. We also strive to provide at least one educational scholarship per year to deserving post-secondary blind students
